David Bernard Leger

Funeral services will be held at St. Leo IV Catholic Church, Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10 a.m. .Mass of Christian Burial for David Bernard Leger, 61, who died Friday, July 22, 2016.
Interment will be in the St. Leo IV Cemetery inRoberts Cove.
Rev. Paul Broussard Pastor of St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove will be the celebrant from the funeral Mass. Reader will be his sister-in-law, Stephanie Naquin Leger, and Eucharistic Minister will be his sister Margaret Leger Doucet, music will be provided by the St. Leo IV Choir.
Surviving are one daughter, Kimberly Leger Mouton and husband Timothy of Rayne, son, Edward William “Eddie” Leger of Lafayette, three grandchildren, Madison Jane Mouton, Brianna Elise Mouton, Owen James Mouton all of Rayne, mother, Dorothy “Dot” Ohlenforst Leger, one sister, Margaret Leger Doucet and husband Malcolm, two brothers, Mark Anthony Leger and wife Debra Vincent Leger, Wayne Joseph Leger and wife Stephanie Naquin Leger all of Rayne.
He was preceded in death by father, William Joseph “Fats” Leger, paternal grandparents, Bernard and Zula F. Leger, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Walburga Ohlenforst.
David was a member of St. Basil K of C Council 10721 in Judice, and Philanthropist of LARC.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA Sunday, July 24, 2016, 2 pm until 9 pm and Monday, July 25, 2016, 8 am until 9:30 am.
Pallbearers will be his two brothers, Mark Leger, Wayne Leger, son-in-law, Timothy Mouton, brother-in-law, Malcolm Doucet, two nephews, Matt Doucet, William Leger, and his friend Ryan Comeaux.
Contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Cafeteria Fund of LARC, 303 New Hope Rd., Lafayette, LA 70506.
