Rayne, LA - Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Donald James Meyer , 48, who died Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Encore Nursing Home in Crowley, LA.
 
Surviving are two daughters, Leslie Louise Bosch, and Sarah Anne Meyer both of Santee, CA, companion, Mary "Angel" Olivier of Crowley, father, Ben Anthony Meyer, Sr. of Rayne, five sisters, Susan Meyer Dollison and husband Steve, Phyllis Meyer Hebert and husband Wilson "Jean" , Jr., Dora Meyer, Cynthia Meyer Vondenstein and husband Charles "Chuck", Billie Meyer all of Rayne, one brother, Ben "Bubba" Anthony Meyer, Jr. of Rayne.
 
He was preceded in death by mother, Virginia Rita Falcon Meyer, one brother, Daniel Joseph Meyer, maternal grandparents, Frank and Dora Falcon, paternal grandparents, Henry Joseph Sr. and Elna Lafleur Meyer.
 
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
 
The family would like to give a special thank you to Encore Nursing Home in Crowley and Hospice Compassus for the care they gave to Donald.
