Elroy J. LeJeune, Sr.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, Iota, for Elroy J. LeJeune Sr., 85, who died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 2:33 p.m. at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice.

Mr. LeJeune was a veteran of the Korean War, having served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 370 in Iota and V.F.W. Post in Eunice.

Luke Jason Guillory, Mr. LeJeune’s stepson, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Iota.

Mr. LeJeune is survived by his wife, Evelyn Guillory of Eunice; two daughters, Janice Lynn Vidrine and husband Matthew of Eunice, Tammy Salinas and husband Samuel of Houston, Texas; one son, Elroy J. LeJeune Jr. and wife Toni of Cedar Lake, Indiana; one stepson, Luke Jason Guillory and wife Janice of Kinder; four sisters, Helen Patin of Iota, Beulah Berry of Gary, Indiana, Esther LeJeune and Anna Ardoin both of Eunice; one brother, Ray LeJeune of Miami, Florida; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Davis LeJeune; his second wife, Marilyn Lalonde “Susie” LeJeune; his parents, Noah and Laura Young LeJeune; one son, Steven J. LeJeune; one grandson, Matthew Shane Vidrine; one brother, Martin Perry LeJeune.
