Emily Trahan

Emily Trahan of Pineville, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at the age of 83.

She was born in Lake Arthur and lived in Moss Bluff for many years prior to moving to Pineville. She worked for Calcasieu Parish School Board in Good Service. She loved gardening and doing yard work.

Those left to cherish her memories include her two sisters; Eunice Trahan of Jennings and Margie Broussard of Lake Charles; and host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Allie Trahan; one infant daughter, Donna Faye Trahan; and one sister, Evia Hines.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 7, at St. Theodores Catholic Church in Moss Bluff at 11 a.m.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 6, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
