Frank “Bod” Miller Jr.

Frank “Bod” was born in Crowley on Oct. 6, 1934, to Frank Miller Sr. and Marie Courville Miller. He was called to his Heavenly Father on July 26, 2016. He worked in the oilfield for most of his life before retiring. Frank loved to listen to Music and ride and see the countryside. He also enjoyed painting and doing carpenter work. Frank was a kind and loving person he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Frank is survived by his four sons, Robert Wayne (Peggy) Miller of Lake Charles, Ronald (Sandra) Miller of Iota, Donald (Dee) Miller of Evangeline and Michael (Christine) Miller of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marie Miller Sr.; two daughters, Diana Miller and Joetta Miller; and one brother, Melvin Miller.
A Mass of Christian burial for Frank “Bod” Miller Jr., 81, of Iota will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Iota on Friday, July 29, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jude Thierry officiating. Visitation will be held at Gessey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, July 28, from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. The family request that visitation will resume on Friday at 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass.
