Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 1:30 pm for Freddie Miller, 91, who died Monday, April 4, 2016 peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence in Rayne, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Verna Lou Thibodeaux Miller of Rayne, one son, Fred Miller and wife Vita of Duson, three daughters, Marlene M. Habetz and husband Edward of Rayne, Cynthia M. Vidrine and husband Richard of Ville Platte, Donna M. Ancelet and husband Carl of Egan, twelve grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one brother, Burley Miller and wife Jean of Grand Junction, CO.

He was preceded in death by one son, Carl James Miller, parents, Theobert Miller and Sarah Odelia Ortego Miller, four brothers, Ervin Miller, BL Miller, Egbert Miller, Edmund Miller, three sisters, Odile M. Smith, Dolice M. Chapman, Edith M. Cart.

Mr. Feddie Miller was a member of the CFMA, Rayne Lions Club, Woodmen of the World, and Rayne Knights of Columbus.

A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 6:30 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Tuesday, April 5, 2016, 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday, April 6, 2016, 10:00 am until 1:30 pm.

Mr. Miller's family would like to thank Compassus Hospice, Dr. Britni Hebert, and especially Diane, Jill, Trish, and Lauren for all the care they had giving him.
