Gloria Hanks Domingue

Funeral services were  held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. for Gloria Hanks Domingue, 79, who died Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Entombment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Surviving are one daughter, Michelle Domingue;three stepsons, Daniel Domingue, Gary Domingue, and Stephen Domingue; one stepdaughter, Patty Thibodeaux; two sisters, Martha Hanks Dupuis, and Patty Hanks Arceneaux and husband, Billy; one brother, Larry Hanks and wife, Irene; one sister-in-law, Sharon Hanks; and two granddaughters, Brittanie Ahlers, and Haleigh Domingue.
She was preceded in death by husband, Dallas Domingue; parents, Wallace Hanks and Aurelia Arceneaux Hanks; one brother, Ronald Hanks; and one brother-in-law, Ralph Dupuis, Jr..
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne Catholic Daughters of America, American Legion in Rayne, Good Samaritans, Louisiana State Nursing Association, and was “Toot-Toot” Cajun entertainer.
She worked as a Registered Nurse and was Supervisor of Nurses for Rayne Branch Hospital in Rayne for 30 plus years.
A rosary was recited Monday, October 21, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Monday, October 21, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 22, 2013 ,from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
Pallbearers were Ralph Dupuis III, Scott Dupuis, Kane Hanks, Jason Hanks, Kennon Hanks and Eric Menard. Honorary Pallbearers were Chris Dupuis, Eric Parra, Ernest “Ty” Istre, Jr. and Tim Trahan.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Louisiana Heart Association, American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Hospice.
