Hilton “Tanny” Smith

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Northside Assembly of God Church in Crowley for Hilton “Tanny” Smith, 68, who died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. at Acadia General Hospital.

Rev. Terrel Reed will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Saturday, Dec. 13, from 1 p.m. to service time at Northside Assembly of God Church. Mr. Smith’s cremated remains will be buried in Istre Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Duane Smith and wife Beth of High Ridge, Missouri, and Brannon Smith of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Gail Smith LeBlanc and husband Larson and Geraldine Smith “Deenie” Marceaux; three brothers, Irvin “Choppy” Smith and wife Sylvia, Russell Smith and Hilliard “T-Man” Smith and wife Judy; three grandchildren, Clayton Smith, Lydia Smith and Braden Smith.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his daughter, Gretta Smith; and his parents, Woodrow and Evelyn LeBlanc Smith.
