Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 12:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial for Houston Joseph Smith, Sr., 72, who died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at his residence in Spring, TX.
 
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.
 
Surviving are wife, Jeanette Guidry Smith of Spring, TX, two daughters, Pricilla Smith of Alexandria, Sandy Smith Boner and husband Shawn of Woodlands, TX, two sons, Houston "Jay" Joseph Smith, Jr. of Tomball, TX, Chad Edward Smith of Crowley, seven  grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, Betty Castille and husband Louis of Indian Bayou, one brother, Ernest Cormier, II and wife Jean of Houston, TX.
 
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank Smith and Anita Alleman Smith, one sister, Audrey Smith Bourque, one brother, Alton Smith.
 
A rosary will be recited Friday, January 23, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA.
 
Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Friday, January 23, 2015 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
