After moving to Lafayette, she worked for New Hope Center, was the secretary for Cathedral Carmel High School and St. Thomas More Catholic High School for 17 years. She was proud of the students she cared for throughout her years and considered them part of her family.

Jane then began a career as a travel agent which continued until the present, having worked with Travel Machine for many of those years. She was a Master Cruise Counselor who coordinated large groups and would oversee vacations world wide, especially her annual trip to Puerto Vallarta, which was her favorite. Jane enjoyed knitting, loved her knitting friends, and even planned knitting group cruises for them. She lived and loved life and will be deeply missed.
