Kathryn Sue Murray Dixon

 Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at a 2 p.m. in Martin & Castille’s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for Kathryn Sue Murray Dixon, 67, who died at 1:13 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014, at her residence in Lafayette. 

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Aug. 1, 2014.

Brother William Murray Jr., brother of Kathryn Dixon, will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Crozier and husband Bobby and Priscilla Gilmore; a step-daughter, Christine Dixon; four grandchildren, Casey Crozier and wife Mandy, Dillon Crozier, Cydni Crozier, Karlyn Eddy; two great-grandchildren, Isaac Crozier and Jasper Crozier; one step-grandson, Addison Dixon; one sister, Chrissy Petzel and husband Detlef; and one brother, William Murray Jr. and wife Norma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Murray Sr. and the former Bernice Lane; and one son, Jeffery Dixon.

Kathryn was born on April 4, 1947, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and was a resident of Lafayette for many years. She was a political analyst and a classic movie buff. Kathryn loved animals and nurturing beautiful plants. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
