Kenneth James Roy

Kenneth James Roy, 38, beloved brother, uncle, father and friend went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Nov. 30, 2015.
Kenneth (Ken or Bean) was born Feb. 21, 1977, in Lafayette to the late Wesley J. Roy Sr. and Mary A. Roy of Crowley.
He is survived by his son, Devontae D. Williams and wife Tameka of Crowley; three brothers, Pastor Wesley Jr. (Jonese) of Crowley, David of Columbus, Ohio, and Gregory (Victoria) of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Venus Bartley (Andre) of Zion, Illinois, and April Tucker (Jay) of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Kenneth was known for his jovial nature, selflessness and his deep love for and commitment to family and friends. He was a lifetime resident of Crowley, having attended school, worked and lived here until his sudden passing. We shall all miss him very much but are comforted by the promise of his eternal rest with our Lord.
Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, beginning with visitation at 8 a.m. and concluding with a Homegoing Celebration at 1 p.m. The services will be hosted by Grace Bible Baptist Church, located at 1023 North Western Avenue in Crowley, and officiated by Pastor Wesley J. Roy Jr.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilturner Funeral Home of Crowley.
