Konrad Joseph Kirsch

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 6, at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Konrad Joseph Kirsch, age 54, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at his residence in Carencro.
Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Kirsch was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He had been employed with the Crowley Police Department for the past 10 years. He was previously employed with the Lafayette Sheriff Department for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jayme Melancon Kirsch of Carencro; his parents, Jerry Paul Kirsch and the former Eva Joyce Patin, both natives of Lafayette; one son, Beau Kirsch of Lafayette; five daughters, Danielle Cormier and husband Gabriel “Gabe” of Breaux Bridge, Lexie Duhon of Carencro, Devin Kirsch and fiancé Drake Balfantz of Gonzales and Katie Kirsch and Karleigh Kirsch, both of Abbeville; two step-daughters, Heather Reneé Thibodeaux and husband Cody of Lafayette and Heidi Legé of Carencro; five grandchildren, Ty Cormier, Dru Cormier, Landon Duhon, Mia Balfantz and Zoei Thibodeaux; four brothers, Eddie Kirsch of Carencro, Micky Case of Denver, Colorado, Craig Case of Atlanta, Georgia, and Barry Case of Denver, Colorado; and two sisters, Cindy Case of Denver and Connie Case Barton of Los Angeles.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Greg Kirsch, Carlan Short, Brian Pirot, Cody Thibodeaux, Barry Case and Eddie Kirsch. Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Kirsch, Chief K.P. Gibson and Captain Janet Kneeland.
The Kirsch family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Brierre and to the staff of Heart of Hospice for their outstanding care and kindness.
