Lena Guidry Alleman

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne on Saturday, July 23, at a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. for Lena Guidry Alleman, 96, who died Friday, July 22, 2016, in Lady of the Oaks Nursing Home in Lafayette.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mayance “Black” Alleman; parents, Alcee Guidry and Lucy Beaugh Guidry; six sisters, Agatha Guidry Higginbotham, Amy Guidry Rivette, Elma Guidry Castille, Blanch Guidry Guidry, Marie Guidry and Emma Guidry Romero; and six brothers, Vinney Guidry, Libbon Guidry, Evans Guidry, Mason Guidry, Burnes Guidry and Bertrand Guidry.
A rosary was recited Friday, July 22, at 7 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., of Rayne on Friday, July 22, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 23, from 8 a.m. until noon.
The family of Lena Guidry Alleman would like to give a special thanks to Lady of the Oaks Nursing Home in Lafayette for all of the care they have given to her over the last 25 years.
