Lillia Suire Richard

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley for Lillia Suire Richard, 96, who died April 28, 2016, in Hazel Green, Alabama.
Fr. Billy Massie, associate pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family requests visiting hours be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment will be in Suire Cemetery in Forked Island.
She is survived by seven sons, Deacon Joseph Richard Jr. and wife Maria of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Earl Richard and wife Jane of Crowley, Donald Richard of Morse, Wayne Richard and wife Brenda of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Deacon Thomas “TJ” Richard and wife Glenda of Eunice, Maxie Richard and wife Donnie of Crowley and Richard Richard and wife Irene of Crowley; three daughters, Georgie R. Beckert and husband Brad of Palatka, Florida, Lou Anna Da Rosa and husband Robert of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Mona Marie Whitworth and husband Kevin of Hazel Green; one daughter-in-law, Danielle Richard of Morse; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lillia is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Richard Sr.; one son, Harold “Bud” Richard; her parents, Ode and Ella Richard Suire; one grandson, Patrick Richard; one great-granddaughter, Ashlea Richard; and one great-grandson Cpl. Mathew Richard.
