Lilly Hoffman Comeaux
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lilly Hoffman Comeaux, 100, who died on May 28, 2016 in Crowley.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley on Monday, May 30, 2016.
Fr. Mark Miley, pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan will be officiating the services. The family is requesting that visitation be held Sunday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Mrs. Comeaux was born in Crowley and attended St. Michael High School. She belonged to several organizations including St. Ann’s Chapel, Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, and Rebekak Home Lodge #35. She worked for many years in sales at Brandt’s Jewelry Store.
Lilly was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Glenn E. Comeaux and his wife Gayle of Lafayette; daughter in law, Dean M. Comeaux; six granddaughters, Michelle Comeaux of Lafayette, Lisa Krieg and her husband Ray of Lafayette, Kathy Comeaux of Crowley, Andrea Murphy and her husband Bob of Crowley, Laurie Daquin of Lafayette, and Yvonne Houpy and her husband David of Denham Springs; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dallas J. Comeaux; one son Ronald J. Comeaux; and her parents Henry and Susie Hoffman all of Crowley.
Pallbearers will be David Houpy, Ray Krieg, Richard Daquin, Boyd Pippin, Dillan Pippin, and Conner Pippin. Honorary pallbearer will be Blake Domingue.
The family would like to thank Dr. Katira, the staff of Southwind Nursing Home, and Heart of Hospice for the love and care they showed to Mrs. Comeaux.
