Margaret Ann Freeman
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley for Margaret Ann Freeman, 74, who died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at 4:36 p.m. at Acadia General Hospital.
Mrs. Freeman was born to the late Leurin and Sebastian Sellers Freeman on April 5, 1941, in Crowley. She was a native and lifelong resident of Crowley. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and very involved many church activities. She retired from Bank of Commerce and Trust Company as a customer service representative.
Fr. Godwin Imoru, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Saturday from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Mrs. Freeman is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Melancon of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Cecelia Freeman of Crowley, Elsie F. Bazile of Memphis, Tennessee, and Connie Freeman of Crowley; three brothers, John Freeman of Mansfield, Andrew Freeman Sr. of Rayne and Mike Claude Freeman of Crowley; eight grandchildren, Terry Foreman of Crowley, Wilfred Jones Jr. and wife Lacey of Boutte, Kendra Jones of Lafayette, Felicia Freeman of Houston, Marcella Corbins and husband Benjamin of Houston, Jeccia Dunn of Baton Rouge, Vernon Joseph of Crowley and Takeisha Freddie of Crowley; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ursula Jones; one son, Vernon Freeman; her parents, Leurin and Sebastian Sellers Freeman; and one sister, Sebastian Bass Freeman.
