Mary Ellen Risinger

A Memorial Mass for Mary Ellen Risinger, 60, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joseph Ampatt officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a rosary at 9:45 a.m. 

Mary Ellen was born Jan. 5, 1954, in Crowley to Floyd Julius Monceaux Sr. and Nella Mae Bourgeois Monceaux and died Sept. 10, 2014, in Shreveport. She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Risinger; parents; brother, Floyd “Julius” Monceaux Jr.; and sisters, Cheryl Daigle and Janet Young.

She is survived by brothers, Fred Monceaux of Crowley, John Monceaux of Edna, Texas, Gerard Monceaux of Iota; godson, John Monceaux Jr.; uncle, Martin Bourgeois and wife D’Ann of Bossier City; special cousin, Carolyn Penny of Baytown, Texas; and a host of other family and friends, all of whom loved Mary and will miss her greatly.
