Mary P. “Nanny” Anderson

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24. 2014, in Cunningham CME Church, with Pastor Mary Ann Cole officiating, for  Mary P. “Nanny” Anderson, 70,  of Rayne, who died May 16, 2014, at American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church.
Interment will follow in the Kimble Chapel Episcopal Methodist Cemetery in Ridge.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Donald Ray Cormier (Virginia) of Church Point, James Cormier, Sr. (Alma) of Crowley, and Michael Cormier (Yetta) of Abbeville; one daughter, Angela Cormier of Rayne; two brothers, Joseph Anderson and Albert Anderson, Sr., both of Rayne; two sisters, Joyce Cormier of Lafayette and Eva Mae Anderson, of Rayne; two special nieces, Debra Guidry and Beverly Anderson, both of Rayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Denry Anderson; her mother, Mary M. Kennedy; one brother, Nolan Senegal; one sister, Shirley Batiste; one son, Rickey Anderson; and one granddaughter, Topeka Hollier.
Active pallbearers will be Donald Cormier, Michael Cormier, Timothy Cormier, Jimmy Cormier, Sr., Myles Cormier and Jimmy Cormier, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Anderson, Carlton Cook, Qualen Cormier, Albert Anderson, Sr., Montel Cormier and Lionel Guidry, Jr.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Frank Brothers Funeral Home of Eunice.
