Monica “Mona” Dischler Gossen

LAFAYETTE - A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Monica “Mona” Dischler Gossen, 80, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at Camelot of Broussard.
Interment was in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Michael J. Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, was celebrant of the funeral Mass and conducted the funeral services.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Maureen G. Bartlett and her husband Bob; one brother, Martin Dischler; and one sister, Helen Robles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Conrad and Helena Maria Zaunbrecher Dischler; and two sisters, Antonia Leger and Pauline Roy.
Mona was a native of Rayne and a resident of Lafayette for over 60 years. She worked as a realtor in the Acadiana area for many years, and was a member of the Board of Realtors. Mona was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she served on the Ladies Altar Society, and she was also a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend, and she will be dearly missed by all.
A rosary was recited Friday, Feb. 13, at 8:30 a.m. in Martin & Castille’s downtown location.
The family requested visitation be observed at Martin & Castille’s downtown location on Friday, Feb. 13, from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
