Murlie Arceneaux

Crowley, LA –– Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Murlie Arceneaux, 76, who died March 30, 2014 in Crowley.
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, will officiate the services.  The family requests visiting hours to be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Ms. Arceneaux is survived by her three daughters, Judy Skinner Pryor and her husband Danny of Rayne, LA, Barbara Sue S. Doty and her husband Al of Crowley, LA, and Lana Skinner Bearb and her husband Jimmy of Lafayette, LA; five grandchildren, Tonya Pryor, Chad Hornsby, Colt Mire, Megan Mire, and Mesha Mire; seven great-grandchildren, Alexis Hornsby, Taylor Rose Hornsby, Austin Charles Doucet, Christian Hornsby, Justin Hornsby, Regan Coleman, and Caden Coleman.
She is preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin Lane Hornsby, husband Sam “Mike” Skinner; her parents, Whitney  and Olita Blanchard Arceneaux; five sisters, Winnie Blanchard, Mary Lee Broussard, Eula Mae Hebert, Marie Cryer, and Jean Romero; and one brother Claude Arceneaux.
Pallbearers will be Tony Doucet, Berkley Desselle, Jason Morgan, Gerald Doty, Bubbie Doty and Donovan Royer.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and a special niece Linda Romero, friend, Jason Morgan and family and friends for their prayers and support.
