Odie J. Broussard, Sr.
Funeral services will be held for Odie J. Broussard Sr., 76, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley with Reverend Jimmy Broussard officiating.
Visitation will begin on Friday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. and will continue until just prior to service time on Saturday, Nov. 8. Burial will be at Old Crowley Cemetery.
Mr. Broussard passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014.
Mr. Broussard was a native and longtime resident of Crowley and worked as a carpenter until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and family man who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Laura Kibodeaux Broussard of Crowley; son, Odie John Broussard Jr. (Becky) of Crowley; daughters, Odelia B. Simoneaux (Kendall) of Henry, JoAnn Broussard (Cherisse) of Opelousas, Lora B. Welch (Calvin) of Crowley, Cheryl Daville of Crowley, Karen Rachel (Randy) of Rayne, Sarah Deshotel of Crowley and Peggy Marvin (Chad) of Mermentau; grandchildren, Tonya, Lisa, Tiffany, Selena, Brian, Crystal, Sonia, Monica, Shelly, Glen, T.J., Desiree, Heather, Zachary, Joshua, Ashley, Hunter, Gabrielle, Damian, Brooke and Shondrika; great-grandchildren, Charles, Kaleeb, Matalyn, Madison, Nikki, Ty, Josh, Jacob, Ariel, Nick, Phil, Arianna, Nicki, Derrick, Zach, Holly, Lily, Sadie, Holland, Lexis, Jaylen, Angel, Haley, Tyler, Mallory, Trevor, Mercedes, Landon, Hillary, Matthew, Sabrina, Jordan, Joshua, Lucas, Rose, Randal, Kyla, Steven, Ayden, Jaydin, Leeland, Kayleigh, Blaze, Kade, Hailey, Thomas and Colton; and great-great-grandchildren, Noah, Audrey, Nathan and Cayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Broussard and Odelia Laughlin Broussard; eight brothers, Oran, Oliver, Otis, Oris, Ovey, Ovide, Edward and Seiguy; four sisters, Theresa, Olivia, Olive and Mary; grandchildren, Kevin McCracken, Hillary Parsley; and one great-grandson, Ronald Lee Kotrla.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Deshotel, Glen Trahan, Brian Guidry, Blaze Deshotel, Zack Deshotel, Hunter Marvin, Ty Champagne and Chad Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Welch and Randy Deshotel.
