Offord Stephen Touchet

A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated for Offord Stephen Touchet, 71, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel – Rayne with Rev. Sam Fontana as celebrant.
Visitation will be held at the Duhon Funeral Home – Rayne Chapel on Monday, Nov. 2, beginning at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until just prior to the time of service. Entombment will follow the church service and will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery # 2.
Mr. Touchet passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at his home in Rayne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sandra Peterson Touchet of Rayne; children, Steven Touchet of Rayne, Paula Romero of Crowley, Paul Touchet and wife Kim of Crowley, Huey Touchet and wife Kimberly of Rayne, and Mary Touchet of Rayne; 11 grandchildren and “one on the way”; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Touchet was preceded in death by his parents, Olefiad Touchet and Lillian Morvant Touchet; daughter, Pauline Touchet Aucoin; granddaughter, Mitchell Sue Romero; son-in-law, Nicholas Romero Sr.; as well as one sister, Gladys Touchet Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Touchet, Nicholas Romero Jr., Huey Touchet II, Richard Washington, Markus Babineaux, T-John Simon, Koi Gautreaux and Travis Cormier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Touchet, Paul Touchet, Huey Touchet, Wilfred Touchet, Paula Touchet and Mary Touchet.
