Peggy Ann Benoit Miller

A Mass of Christian burial for Peggy Ann Benoit Miller, 64, of Morse, will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. with Father Clint Trahan officiating.
Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral Mass.
Peggy will be laid to rest in Istre Cemetery.
Peggy was born in Jennings on Sept. 21, 1951, to Antoine J.D. Benoit and Beulah Cormier Benoit. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Dec. 17, 2015. Peggy was a homemaker who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She loved to cook and sew, she was a very creative person. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Peggy is survived by mother, Beulah C. Benoit of Morse; her beloved husband, Patrick A. Miller of Morse; one son, Jeremiah Miller (Tara) of Morse; one daughter, Jerika M. Glenn (Daniel) of Morse; two brothers, Ruston Benoit of Carlyss and Hulin Benoit (Josie) of Morse; three sisters, Elgine B. Maynard (Danny) of Morse, Judy B. Guidry (Bennett) of Morse and Diranda B. Manuel (Doug) of Morse; two wonderful grandchildren, Taylor Miller and Chase Schexnayder; and two wonderful step-grandchildren, Mallory Glenn and Daniel Glenn
Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Antoine J. D. Benoit; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alfin and Elvina Miller.
Carrying Peggy to her final resting place in Istre Cemetery will be Leonard Cloud, Bennett Guidry II, Bennett Guidry III, Chene Benoit, Donald Cloud and Todd Courville. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Hulin Benoit.
