Ronald Phillip Miller

The family of Ronald Phillip Miller, 86, of Livingston, Texas, is saddened to announce his passing. Ronald died at his son’s home in home in Summerville, Texas, on Jan. 19, 2014. As per his wishes, Ronald will be cremated.

Ronald was born July 31, 1927, in Iota to the late Moise Miller and the late Virginia Leger Miller. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Doris Smith Hebert Miller in 1961 by the clerk of court in Crowley. Ronald worked in Crowley for many years as deputy clerk of court, he then moved to Texas and worked many years in the property title search department. He was a fantastic father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was well-loved for his gentle spirit. He loved being in the country and gardening, and especially loved growing and eating the hot peppers he harvested.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Doris Smith Hebert Miller; his son, Paul Hebert and wife Barbara of Summerville, Texas; his sisters, Melva Miller Stringer and husband Glen of Baton Rouge, and Merita Aucoin Miller of Eunice; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granchildren.

He is preceded in death by two sons, Donald Hebert and William Hebert; three brothers, Roy Miller, Charles Gary Miller and Francis Miller; and his parents, Moise and Virginia Leger Miller.
