Rosa Mae Leprettre

The family and friends of Rosa Mae Leprettre are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on Dec. 13, 2014, at the age of 92. Rosa was born in Riceville to the late Felex Pelly and the late Marie Cashet Pelly on Oct. 23, 1922. Rosa was a retired court reporter for Delta Southern Court Reporting. Rosa loved collecting stamps and researching genealogy. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She was a very loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rosa is survived by her two sons, Donald Leprettre (Wendy) of Opelika, Alabama, and James Leprettre (Val) of Lafayette; one sister, Lerdie Taylor of Bell City; one grandson, Travis Leprettre; and five great-grandchildren.

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Felex and Marie Pelly; her beloved husband, Joseph Leno Leprettre; one brother, Allen Pelly; and one grandson, Trent Leprettre.

Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by her services. Burial will follow in the Gueydan Cemetery.
