Ruby Pousson

 

Funeral services will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, May 9, at 11 a.m. honoring the life of Ruby Pousson, 88, who died May 6, 2014, at her residence. Mr. Jack Harris will officiate her service. She will be laid to rest in Mermentau Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruby was born in Mermentau to the late John D. LeBlanc and the late Mayah LeBlanc. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a member of Jennings First Church of Christ. She enjoyed tending to her yard, cooking and housekeeping. Mrs. Ruby loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Ruby is survived by her two daughters, Lona Pousson Richard (Ray) and Cheryle Pousson Richard (Dalton) both of Morse; one sister, Barbara Edigo (Kenneth) of DeRidder; she also leaves behind to cherish in her memories, four grandchildren, Malana Lege, Kelsely Lege, Jeremey Lege and Yvette Richard Rowell; and nine great grandchildren.

 She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Elias Pousson; her four brothers, Elge LeBlanc, Narris LeBlanc, Tan LeBlanc and Charles Istre; her sister, Jeanelle LeBlanc Breaux; and her precious grandson, Everett John Richard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Matthews & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, May 8, beginning at 2 p.m. and continuing until the time of her service on Friday at 11 a.m.

Carrying Mrs. Ruby to her eternal resting place will be Trevor Soileau, Jagger Lanthier, Mike Istre, Tony LeBlanc, Kevin Breaux, Terry Istre, Lane Seaux and Brian Rowell. Serving as her Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Lege.
