Steve Hebert
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Steve Hebert, 63, who died Oct. 3, 2015, in Iota.
Fr. David Hebert, pastor of St. Augustine Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family requested visiting hours to be held Monday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Monday.
Interment will be in St. Augustine Mausoleum.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Belinda Hebert of Iota; two sons, Rhett Hebert and wife Denise of Iota, and Rickey Hebert and wife Shelly of Iota; four grandchildren, Grant, Emily, Braeden, and Brinna Hebert; two sisters, Catherine DeVille and husband Leon of Lake Charles, and Pam Pelsia and husband Blake of Iota; seven brothers, James Hebert and wife Panzy of Basile, Charles Hebert and wife Bonnie of Lacassine, Billy Hebert and wife Janet of Chloe, Lynn Hebert and wife Beth of Iota, Patrick Hebert and wife Cindy of Basile, Gregory Hebert and wife Priss of Basile, and Harold Hebert of Basile; his father-in-law, Fredrick Trumps; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Attie Fruge Hebert; one sister, Faye Hebert; and his mother-in-law, Nathalie Trumps.
Pallbearers will be James Hebert, Charles Hebert, Blake Pelsia, Harold Hebert, Greg Hebert, and Brandon Hebert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Hebert, Lynn Hebert, and Cole Hebert.
The family would like to thank Dr. Karen Roden and the staff of Louisiana Onocologist and Associates and the staff of Lamm Family Care Hospice, especially Stacy and Kristen for their care and compassion given to Mr. Steve and his family during his illness.
