Sylvia Armstrong Zaunbrecher

A Mass of Christian Burial is pending for Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Sylvia Armstrong Zaunbrecher, 70, who died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at 4:10 p.m. at Lafayette Extended Care Hospital.

Fr. David Broussard, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church-Evangeline, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Leo IV Cemetery in Roberts Cove.

Mrs. Zaunbrecher is survived by one daughter, Kristine Z. Schippers and her husband Willi of Crowley; three sons, Greg Zaunbrecher of Abbeville, Nick Zaunbrecher and his wife Cindy of Crowley, Michael Zaunbrecher and his wife Heather of Iota; ten grandchildren, Andrew Zaunbrecher, Emily Zaunbrecher, John Schippers, Christian Schippers, Gabriel Schippers, Laura Schippers, Catherine Zaunbrecher, Alaina Zaunbrecher, Evalan Zaunbrecher and Owen Zaunbrecher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Bernard Zaunbrecher; her mother, Willa Cart Armstrong; and her father, Louis Armstrong.
