Una Marie Maynard
LYONS POINT- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Una Marie Maynard, 87, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point with Rev. Clint Trahan as celebrant. Visitation will be held at Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley, on Friday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume on Saturday at 8 a.m. until just prior to service time.
Interment will follow the church service at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Maynard passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at her residence in Crowley.
A native of Lyons Point and a long time resident of Crowley, Mrs. Maynard was retired from the Acadia Parish School Board where she served as a cafeteria worker for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister who was loved dearly by her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Maynard is survived by her daughter, Jean B. Theriot and fiancé Ed “T-Boy” Simon of Crowley; son, Lawrence J. Broussard and wife Lydia of Crowley; grandchildren, Derek Theriot and wife Lisa of Baytown, Texas, Salisa T. Dupont and husband James “Bubba” Dupont of Crowley, Lena Navarre and fiancé Steve Gondron of Lafayette, Suzanne Broussard of Lafayette and Gregory Broussard and wife Constanza “Cody” Broussard of State College, Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Skylar Navarre, Trevor Navarre and wife Xoshil and Alisa Navarre all of Lafayette, Ignacio Broussard and Santiago Broussard both of State College, ennsylvania, Austin Theriot and wife Trisha, Heather Theriot and Jason Theriot all of Baytown, Texas, Trey Dupont and girlfriend Kim and her son Elijah of Iota, Joshua Dupont and Jonthan Dupont, both of Crowley; one great-great grandson, Parker Pittman; one brother, Lewis “L.J.” Guidry and wife Bootsie of Lyons Point; and her two god-children, Russell Henry and Edwin Guidry.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Joseph N. Broussard; second husband, Cleveland Maynard; son, Milford J. Broussard; parents, Charles Guidry and Delzan Bertrand Guidry; brother, Ozanne Guidry; and sister, Ester Henry.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Skylar Navarre, Trevor Navarre, Austin Theriot, Jason Theriot, Trey Dupont, Joshua Dupont, Jonthon Dupont and Derek Theriot.
