Virginia Spell Aucoin

 

 

A rosary and service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Virginia Spell Aucoin, 69, who died on Sunday, June 29, 2014, in New Iberia.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.

Deacon Theo Landry will officiate.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from noon until 9 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. 

A resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Aucoin was born on Jan. 2, 1945, in Crowley to Bennie and Madeline Morgan Spell. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Bryan “Bubba” Aucoin and wife Lori of New Iberia, Jeffery Aucoin and wife Phyllis of New Iberia and Duwanna “Susie” Counce and husband Ricky of Katy, Texas; brothers, John C. Spell and wife Suzette of Crowley, Thomas H. Spell and wife Sandra of Duson; eight grandchildren, Richard Paul Counce and wife Audrilee, Mychol Counce, Bryan Paul Aucoin II and wife Heather, Hillarie Aucoin, Nicole Peltier and husband Scott, Valerie Aucoin, Lucas Aucoin and Evan Aucoin; and three great-grandchildren, Mikayla Counce, Cameron Counce and Kyndall Counce.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fernest Aucoin.

Pallbearers will be Richard Paul Counce, Bryan “Bubba” Aucoin, Bryan Aucoin II, Jeffery Aucoin, Scott Peltier and Brock Tabb.
