Rayne High roundball action continues

With another couple wins under their belts, the Lady Wolves improved their overall score to 22-2 and kept their district slate spotless at 5-0 with two wins during the last week of play.
The Ladies claimed a 71-20 district win over intra-parish rival Crowley High Friday evening. Rayne recorded double digits in all four quarters of action for the dominating win.
Rayne scores were led by Whitley Larry with 24 points along with six blocks and 17 rebounds.
Teammate Keysuana Moore dumped in 16 points and eight steals, Amari Collins had a dozen points and 11 rebounds, and Charlesha Dugas donated nine points along with six steals and five rebounds.
The Lady Wolves also claimed a 60-28 district win over Washington-Marion during Tuesday night play.
Dugas led Rayne scorers with 25 points, followed by 14 by Moore, Whitley Larry with 11 points and 11 blocks and 13 rebounds, and six numbers by Tajane Butler and Amari Collins.
The Lady Wolves were scheduled to hit the road Tuesday to Lagrange when they will try and keep their unblemished district slate, followed by a home Friday evening district contest against Leesville.

The Wolves slipped in their last two outtings as they faced Washington-Marion and Crowley.
During a 96-41 loss to top-ranked Washington-Marion, Rayne was led in scoring by Dontray Leopaul with 14 points, followed by teammates Darian Harmon and Jayson Thomas each with eight.
In Friday’s district contest at home, the Wolves fell to intra-parish rival Crowley High in a close 43-39 contest.
Byron Mouton dumped in 13 points for the Wolves, but was not enough for a Rayne win.
The Wolves were schedule to travel to Lagrange on Tuesday and host Leesville on Friday as they continue district play.
