All-Star tournament action continues for Rayne teams

Despite cancelled tounaments the previous weekend, Mother Nature cooperated over the weekend, allowing all Rayne all-star teams to participate in local and area tournaments.
Girl’s pinto and mustang all-star teams traveled to Crowley for their sectional tournaments.
The Girl’s Pinto All-Stars went 6-2 for the tournament and place fourth overall, while the Girl’s Mustang All-Stars placed second with a 7-2 finish.
Both Rayne girl’s all-star teams will be in Youngsville this weekend for their super regionals. Top winners will then travel to Highlands, Texas for the Girl’s World Series in mid-July.
Boy’s pinto, mustang and bronco all-star teams remained in Rayne as the Rayne Recreation Department hosted a warm-up tournament for all leagues.
In boy’s pinto action, both the Rayne Americans (3-1) and Nationals (4-2) fell in semi-final action.
In the boy’s mustang bracket, the Rayne Americans placed second in the major bracket going 4-1 before falling to Crowley in the finals. The Rayne Nationals claimed a first place finish in the minor bracket as they slid past Crowley 14-13 in the finals.
The Boy’s Bronco All-Stars went 4-1 during the tournament and claimed a second place trophy.
All three Rayne boy’s teams will be in Crowley this weekend for their last warm-up tournment before beginning their district tournaments the following weekend.
