Rayne All-Stars Attend Zone Nationals

The final two of three all-star teams of the 2015 Rayne Recreation Department Summer Program who qualified for their national zone tournament completed play over the weekend.
The remaining two all-star teams who participated in their National Zone Tournaments were the Boy’s Mustang Americans All-Stars (Hurricanes) and the Boy’s Bronco All-Stars (Warriors).
Both teams were in action July 30 - Aug. 3 in Burleson, Texas, site of their National Zone Tournaments.
The Hurricanes faced two highly ranked teams and dropped their first two games of the tournament. They met the RGV Thunder (16-6) and the San Antonio Mission Drives (9-0).
Members of the Hurricanes of mustang league are Ryan Pellissier, Derrick Istre, Owen Delhomme, Dylan Judice, Caden Meche, Jason Comeaux, Trevion “Peanut” Hollier, Grayson Roy, Gavin Labauve, Kaleb “KP” Olivier, John Ronkartz, Jacob Trahan, along with coaches Marcus Roy, Kim Hollier, Allen “Noochie” Credeur and Randy Judice.
The Warriors also loss their first two games of their tournament. They fell to the Keller Outlaws and Capital All-Stars, both Texas teams.
Members of the Warriors of bronco league are Griffin Champagne, Grant Killmer, Max Vellion, Will Arceneaux, Lexx Guidry, Baylon Leon, Landon Richard, Ma’kai Thompson, Colin Lacombe, Chandler Broussard, Lance Castille, Christopher Dailey, along with coaches Jeremy Breaux, Quinn Guidry, Brian Killmer and the late Coby Guidry.
