Rayne All-Stars To Nationals
One of three all-star teams of the 2015 Rayne Recreation Department Summer Program who qualified for their national tournament completed play over the weekend.
The Rayne Girls Mustang League Wreckers, the lone girls’ team participated in the 2015 PONY Girl’s South Zone World Series July 14-18, known as their Zone National Tournament, held in Highlands, Texas.
The Wreckers finished the four-day event in the top 10 among 24 teams in attendance. They were the last of the five Louisiana teams remaining in the last day of play with a 4-2 overall game tally.
Team members include Kate Daigle, Grayci Dupuis, Karlee Daigle, Victoria Peltier, Macy Dailey, Bailee Royer, Analie Dupuis, Claudia Kibodeaux, Addyson Gautreaux, Elizabeth Comeaux, Kamrie Breaux, Amelia Dailey, Graci Alleman, along with Head Coach Shannon Royer and assistant coaches McKenzie Dailey, Troy Kibodeaux and Dusty Stelly.
The remaining two all-star teams slated to participate in their National Tournaments are the Boy’s Mustang Americans All-Stars (Hurricanes) and the Boy’s Bronco All-Stars (Warriors).
Both teams will be in action July 30 - Aug. 3 in Burleson, Texas, site of their Zone National Tournament.
