Rebels earn No. 4 seed; Warriors slip in at No. 21

CROWLEY – The Midland Rebels and the Northside Christian Warriors will carry the banner for Acadia Parish when the 2014-14 boys basketball playoffs begin on Friday.
The Rebels and the Warriors were the only teams in the area to qualify for the playoffs.
Midland (24-5) won the District 7-B title and enters the Class B playoffs as the No. 4 seed. The defending state champions will entertain No. 29 Doyline, who went 5-25, Friday at 6 p.m.
The Warriors (12-23) finished the regular season on a seven-game slide but still managed to slide into the playoffs as the No. 21 seed in Class C. They will travel to No. 12 seed Plainview, which went just 5-27 on the season, Friday for a 6 p.m. bidistrict contest.
