Summer registration set for baseball/softball

Registration for the 2014 baseball/softball summer league of the Rayne Recreation Department will begin next week for the upcoming season.

The program is open to boys and girls ages 5-14 years of age.

Release forms must be signed by the parent/guardian and returned to the Rayne Recreation Department or Rayne City Hall, along with registration fee of $20 per participant on or before deadline. Students will receive a registration form at their school or parents can download the form on the city’s website at www.rayne.org. All players must be registered by March 3rd -- NO registration will be accepted after deadline.

Registration forms will be accepted each Monday and Wednesday beginning on Jan. 27th between 5-6 p.m., in addition to each Saturday from 9-10 a.m.

Volunteer coaches, assistant coaches and umpires are needed for the program. Please volunteer your time for the children to help keep these programs operating for the children year after year. Call 337-334-6644 for more information
