Teresa Natasha Lambert Mayfield (Lil-Bit) departed this earthly life on Sunday, June 23, in Crowley.

Living her life of service to God, her family and friends was destined for Teresa Natasha Lambert Mayfield. Teresa was the daughter of Brenda Arceneaux-Lambert and Stanley Charles Lambert. She was the second born of triplets. Teresa was a very active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley. She was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary St. Theresa #51, where she held the leadership of the Junior Daughter, Parish Council member, Acadiana District IV secretary, St. Theresa Court #51 Board of Trustee, Emerging Leaders of District IV, CCD instructor, Youth RICA instructor and Bazaar Committee member. She was a secretary for SWLA, licensed cosmetologist for 17 years and a medical insurance coder, where she received this degree from Remington College in Lafayette.

Teresa was a 1994 class graduate of Crowley High School.

It was her firm belief to follow the instructions of Jesus Christ; one must give of himself to his fellow man without expecting any reward for the service given. She had a smile and a kind word for those who didn’t have one for her. May the work she has done speak for her. May the life she has lived speak for her, while she is resting in her grave, there’s nothing can be said, may the work she has done speak for her and the work done by Teresa in the community, the church, her friends and mostly with her family, speak well of her for 37 years while she was on this earth. Many people are rich because of the money they have acquired, but Teresa was rich because of the many friends she has made. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Her cherished life with us will be remembed by her three daughters, Brinessa Montgomery, MyAsia Mayfield and Hermione Mayfield of Crowley; her parents, Brenda Lambert and Stanley Lambert of Crowley; her grandmother, Juanita Lambert of Fayetteville, N.C.; six sisters, Andera Francis (Calvin), Tronya Lambert and Deknetra Lambert of Crowley, Twana Lambert of Rayne, Temyka Minix (Perry) of Houma and Crowley and Tynash Byers of Crowley; one brother, Adrian Byers of Crowley; her mother-in-law, Judy Mayfield of Crowley; godmother, Shirley Henry; two godchildren, Detron Lambert and Larry Bellard; four aunts; nine uncles; 16 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Wilma and Louise Arceneaux Sr.; her paternal grandfather, Ivory Charles Lambert; step-grandmother, Zelma Domino; two aunts, Georgiana (Boo) Thomas and Lou Ella Keller; and three uncles, Wilma Arceneaux Jr., Wilbert Arceneaux and Ricky Keller.

Wilturner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
