Engagement announced

Marlon and Susan Sarver of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Lee to Michael Dennis Shoffiett, Jr., son of Michael, Sr. and Melody Shoffiett of Rayne.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Seale of Crowley and Lonnie Sarver and the late Janel Sarver of Crowley.

Amanda is a 2002 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She is currently attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and will graduate in December of 2008 with a business management degree. She is employed with First National Bank at the present time.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Romero of Branch and the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Shoffiett of Madisonville, Tennessee.

Michael is a 1997 graduate of Notre Dame High School and is currently employed with Island Operating.

The wedding date is set for August 8, 2008 and will take place in Vail, Colorado.

Following the exchanging of vows, the couple will start their new life as husband and wife in Rayne.
