Lawrence Harry Faulk

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Lawrence Harry Faulk, 84, who died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in Crowley.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Monday at 6:30 p.m. by Sister Justina Baker. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum..

A lifelong resident of Acadia Parish, Mr. Faulk was a 1943 graduate at St. Michael High School. He served with the Army during WWII as a paratrooper with the Airborne Division in the European Theatre of operation. He was award the Purple Heart for wounds in Germany. He was also awarded three Battle Stars for the Battle of the Bulge, the Ruhr and Central Germany.

Mr. Faulk is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria Lusco Faulk of Crowley; one daughter, Carlotta F. Hayes of Lafayette; one son, Robert K. Faulk and his wife Vickie Meaux Faulk of Crowley; two brothers, Mitchell and Edward “Doug” Faulk both of Crowley; four grandchildren, Christopher Perrodin and his wife Adrienne of Crowley, Stephen Hayes of Lafayette, Pamela Dauphine and her husband Nick of Crowley, Bridget Faulk and her fiance Ryan Miller of Crowley; four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Brooke Perrodin, Evan and Ethan Dauphine, all of Crowley.

Pallbearers will be Ray Faulk, Kelly Faulk, Joel Faulk, Bill Faulk, Jimmy Faulk, and Paul Faulk. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Hayes, Chris Perrodin, Nick Dauphine, Ryan Miller, and Paul Landry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Anita Jeanis Faulk; two brothers, Joseph Leeward Faulk and infant brother, Lloyd Ray Faulk.

Music for the funeral services will be provided by his nephew, Mike Grado and guitarist, Paul Hebert.
