Mrs. Ross Gregory Thibodeaux

Prince, Thibodeaux united in Holy Matrimony

 

Katherine Alyse Prince and Ross Gregory Thibodeaux were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony during an evening ceremony on Friday, February 7, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in New Orleans. The ceremony was officiated by The Rev. Msgr. Russell J. Harrington.

Katherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Robert Prince Jr. of Lafayette. Mrs. Prince is the former Anita Joyce LeBlanc. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Gaston LeBlanc and the late Alice Joyce Broussard LeBlanc of Lafayette and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roland Robert Prince Sr. of New Iberia. 

Katherine is a graduate of Saint Thomas More High School, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans,  where she received her master’s degree in communication disorders. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the Lafayette Parish School System.

Ross is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dale Thibodeaux of Midland.  Mrs. Thibodeaux is the former Joni Darlene Ray.  He is the grandson of Mrs. Ella Chaumont Ray and the late Mr. James Clifton Ray of Lake Charles and Mr. and Mrs. Emery Lee Thibodeaux of Midland.

Ross is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Crowley and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. Ross is a partner of the Thibodeaux Ag Group.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a beautiful silk tulle gown from Christos Bridal.  The gown featured a full skirt and shirring detail at the bust. The cap sleeves were hand beaded with pearls and Swarovski crystals. The bride chose a fingertip length veil of soft tulle that completed her attire. 

Serving as matrons of honor were the bride’s sisters, Courtney Prince Back and Lauren Prince McElligott. Bridesmaids included the groom’s sister Carli Rae Thibodeaux, and Carolyn Carnes Borne, Lauren Cox Burkett, Ashley Ellender Cooper, Kristine Savoie Davis, Elizabeth Fruge Eustis and Alice Emling Johnson, all friends of the bride.

Flower girls were Adriana Michel Cline and Cline Carmichael Faust, cousins of the bride, and Elle Katherine Cooper, godchild of the bride. They were escorted by Rowan Keller Cline, cousin of the bride.

The groom was attended by his best man, Brandt Michael Thibodeaux, the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Kyle Andrew Champagne, cousin of the bride, and Kenneth Michael Habetz Jr., Nicholas Moody Hensgens, Michael Charles Hensgens, William Carl Hetzel, Matthew Maurice Lyons, John Michael Stefanski and Trevor Kade Theunissen, all friends of the groom. Honorary groomsman was the late William Moody Hensgens, friend of the groom. 

Ushers were Justin Charles Back and John Edmund McElligott III, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Trent David Broussard and Barton James Savant, friends of the groom.

Spiritual readings were presented by Anne Elise Robertson Doise, friend of the bride, and Sydney Claire Thibodeaux, godchild of the groom. Serving as gift bearers were Paige Cline Faust and Parrish Ladd Cline, godparents of the bride, and Kimberly Lewis Madigan and Ralph David Thibodeaux, godparents of the groom. Greeters were Brooke Lauren Kellerhalls and Erin Elizabeth Woods, friends of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans. Entertainment was provided by Rockin’ Dopsie & The Zydeco Twisters. After returning from a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Midland.

The groom’s parents honored their son and bride-elect with their wedding party at a dinner on the eve of their marriage at Antoine’s  Restaurant in New Orleans.
