Macy LeBlanc crowned second runner-up

BATON ROUGE - Macy LeBlanc once again did a great job representing the International Rice Festival, this time as she competed in the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals (LAFF) Queen of Queens pageant on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Contending against no fewer than 70 other festival queens, she was selected as second runner-up and also won the evening gown competition. LeBlanc was chosen as the 75th International Rice Festival Queen in 2011 and reigned until last October, when a new queen was crowned.

Like her predecessors, though, LeBlanc, as the most recent past queen, continued the tradition of representing the International Rice Festival at the LAFF pageant.

LeBlanc is a 20-year-old student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she is a member of Kappa Delta sorority majoring in marketing and communications.

She is the daughter of Dana and Arthur LeBlanc of Lake Arthur.
