RHS band student tours with La. Stars Drum/Bugle

Most high school students look forward to summer break to sleep in, family vacations, and just taking it easy as they prepare for the coming school year. But, for Rayne High band student Nick Arnaud, the summer of 2015 was a two-week experience of a lifetime.
Nick, the son of Ricci Arnaud and Rayne High band student, earned a spot with the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corp for the 2015 Summer Season. Louisiana Stars is a marching group that is a part of Drum Corps International (aka DCI).
Nick was among 113 musicians who earned a spot on the 2015 corp as members of the Louisiana Stars consist of students age 15 to 21 from all parts of the United States.
The Louisiana Stars began a two-week tour on July 6th and returned to Lafayette on July 20th. The tour consisted of DCI competitions in the following locations: Fort Wayne, Ind., Minneapolis, Minn., Muscatine, Iowa, Cameron, Mo., Great Bend, Kan., Canton, Texas, Houston, Texas, Columbus, Texas, San Antonio, Texas, and Cajun Field in Lafayette.
This event is a great experience for any student age 15 to 21 years of age who’s willing to work hard and long hours to make new friends and compete with the best of the best in Drum Corp International performances.
