In less than two weeks time, 4-H’ers from around the parish will converge on Midland High School for the parishwide program’s showcase day.
Acadia 4-H members Eric LaCombe, Maddie Ardoin, Macie Breaux, Merideth Raspberry and Kathryn LeBlanc came home as state winners from 4-H University.
This was a jubilant accomplishment for Acadia Parish 4-H. The four day LSU AgCenter event, held on the LSU campus recently was packed with competitions, workshops, and socializing with 1,515 4-H’ers from across the state.
Julie Hebert will be the first to tell you she is a fan of quotes and sayings.
So, there was no better time to pull her 4-H-related quotes out of the bag than Friday morning when she was recognized as the 2015 Acadia Parish 4-H Achievement Day honoree.
After a year of hard work, 4-H’ers from across Acadia Parish will converge upon Midland High School Friday, April 24, to celebrate the year.
The appropriately titled Achievement Day will provide fun, educational opportunities for 4-H’ers and feature the recognition of Julie Hebert as this year’s honoree and Ethan Breaux of Iota Middle 4-H for his winning theme.
Breaux’s theme, “Let’s Sound Off For 4-H!!!!” takes its cues from the armed forces. His drawing also features the 4-H Pledge and military men carrying modified 4-H flags.
