Ada Jones

OPELOUSAS – Services will be held at Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. for Ada Madeline Jones, 84, at the Israelite Baptist Church in Crowley, La.

The Reverend Ivan J. Lewis will be officiating the services.

Burial will follow at Little Zion Cemetery in Opelousas, La.

Visitation hours will be observed on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 5 p.m. til 9 p.m. at Israelite Baptist Church.

Jones is survived by six sons, Arthur Jones, Junius Jones, Lawrence Jones, Lee Roy Jones, Roqest Jones and James Jones; two daughters, Alice Jones and Edna Joubert; three brothers, Reverend James V. Toussaint, Roger Lee Toussaint, and Reverend Lee Arthur Toussaint; two sisters, Anna Mae Greene and Edna Ruth Simmons; forty-four grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Jones; her parents, Reverend Earnest Toussaint Sr. and Alice Gertrude Toussaint; one son, Herman Jones; one daughter, Gloria J. Sonnier; four brothers, Edward Toussaint Sr., Ray Lloyd Toussaint, Herbert Toussaint Sr., and Earnest Toussaint Jr.; and one sister, Beatrice Levier.

Williams Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of the arrangements.
