Baby shower honors Jennie Lucé Kanonu

The Maison D’Memoire Bed and Breakfast Special Events Center in Rayne was the setting on Saturday, July 11, for a baby shower held in honor of Jennie Lucé Kanonu of Rayne.

Mrs. Kanonu is the former Jennie Lucé Jadotte, daughter of Jean and Rose Jadotte of Hamburg, NJ, maternal grandparents-to-be.

The father-to-be, Aleke Vincent Kanonu, Jr., is the son of Mary Ellen Kanonu, paternal grandmother-to-be.

Hosting the afternoon courtesy were Ramona Randle, Lori Broussard, Cassandre Jadotte, Tarunye Kanonu, Carolyn Adkins, Wendy Moore, Tabitha Charles and Tarya Kanonu.

For the special event, Mrs. Kanonu wore a two-piece summer pants suit in white and was presented a sunflower shoulder corsage.

Approximately 40 family members and guests were in attendance.

Special guests attending were Lori Broussard and Ramona Randle, godmothers of the anticipated arrival.

The new family member is expected to arrive Sept. 13, 2009.
