RCE Dinner Dance to begin 2014 Catholic Schools Week

The 2014 Rayne Catholic Elementary Dinner Dance will be held Saturday, January 25, at the Rayne Civic Center, as it ushers in the many activities planned for the Catholic Schools Week observance.
Doors will open at 5:30 with the event starting with a 6 p.m. dinner and live entertainment at 7 p.m. for the “80’s theme” dinner dance.
With a theme “RCE Celebrates Our Nation”, Monday morning will have the annual proclamation and prayer service to begin a full week of CSW activities and programs. The annual visit from “Harvey Rabbit” for lower grades will be enjoyed, followed by a visit to Joe’s Cafe by fifth and sixth graders, and a Sonic trip for the seventh and eighth graders.
Tuesday will have a “RCE Celebrates Our Community” with students delivering thank you cards throughout the community. A blood drive will again be held throughout the day. The day will end with the presentation of the RCE Supporter of the Year.”
“RCE Celebrates Our Vocations” on Wednesday with the annual Godparent Liturgy at 8:15 a.m. at St. JOseph Catholic Church
Thursday’s “RCE Celebrates Our Students” day will include a game day activity, field run, and the presentation of the RCE Students of the Year.
The week will conclude on Friday, “RCE Celebrates Our Faculty and Staff” which will include a special teacher luncheon. The annual “Locks of Love” hair donation by RCE students and friends will also be held, along with the presentation of the new RCE Teacher and Staff Person of the Year.”
