Central Middle School principal interviews under way

Interviews are being conducted with eight applicants for the principal's job at Central Middle School in Eunice.

St. Landry Parish School Supt. Michael Nassif is expected to recommend a new principal at Thursday's School Board meeting.

Central Principal Horace Pickney retired effective Dec. 19, 2008, also the deadline for applying for the position.

Administrative assistant Joannie Jason is currently managing the school.

Applicants for the job, according to the School Board Central Office, are Cheryl Boutte, Tonya Lancon, Veronica Lyons, John Macon, John Wendell Prudhomme, Hamilton Brock, LeRoy Payne and Connie Olivier.
