Daynoodt “Dan” Joseph Besse

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10 a.m. for Deynoodt “Dan” Joseph Besse, Sr., 78, who died Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 Mausoleum, Rayne.

Surviving are wife, Phyllis Hoffpauir Besse of Rayne; two sons, Dev Besse and wife Micki of Rayne, and Jody Besse of Cleveland, Ohio; one daughter, Yolande Broussard and husband Lloyd “B.B.” of Gonzales; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; four brothers, Michael Besse and wife Mona of Rayne, Pierre Besse and wife Vickie of Rayne, Elliott Besse of Youngsville, Rene’ Besse and wife Daisy of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Heloise Besse Sullivan and husband Jeff of Goshen, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Albert Besse, Sr. and Yolande Daboval Besse; one brother, Dave Besse, Jr.; and a step mother, Pearl Besse.

He was born Wednesday, February 24, 1932 in Atlanta, Georiga, son of the late Dave Albert Besse, Sr. and the late Yolande Daboval Besse.

A rosary will be recited Friday, June 25, 2010 at 6p.m..

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc. in Rayne on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m amd Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 8 a.m. until services.
