Dewey Paul Touchet

Funeral services were held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. for Dewey Paul Touchet, 75, who died Sunday, December 27, 2009, in Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital.

Interment was in the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Scott.

Surviving are his wife, Kelly Touchet; daughte, Brenda Jones of Rayne, and Janelle Primeaux (Paul) of Opelousas; sons, Ray Touchet (Sandra) of Lafayette, and Darrell Touchet of Rayne; 11 grandchildren; noumorus great-grandchildren; sister, Dot Babineaux (Charlie) of DeRidder; brothers, Norris Touchet (Betty) of Maurice, and Raywood Touchet (Rachel) of Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lula Mae Touchet; one sister, Agnes Broussard; and one son-in-law, Shary Jones.

He was born Monday, February 12, 1934, in Henry, LA, the son of the late Neta Touchet and the late Theotise Simon.

Pallbearers were Timothy Touchet, Darrell Touchet, Ray Touchet, Toby Primeaux, Ronnie Primeaux and Brennan Touchet. Honorary pallbearers were Cody Jones, Eric Jones, Mavrick Landry and Kainnan Albarado.

Friends were received 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, and 8:00 a.m. until service Wednesday, December 30, 2009,. at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne,.
